It has been ages!

Wow it has been a long time since I posted on my blog.  Since our precious grandson was born, my days are consumed by him.  I have been scrapping up a storm, but I must say that most of my layouts are of our precious angel.  Watch this space, coz I am back and soon will be posting some photos for you.  Lots to catch up on. xxx

An evening of Jazz

Fabscraps papers and bookplates and buckle.  Rub-ons from Kaiser and whiteboard embellishments from Enmarc coloured with Enmarc Versa Chalks.

The Greatest story ever told

I used the Making Memories Noel Collection of papers for this layout.  The embellishments are from Enmarc, Fabscraps and Making Memories.  These photos were taken of my daughter and son in-law opening the first of the Christmas presents for their expected baby (otherwise known as "the Bug")

We are sailing!

I have the most amazing friends in Richards Bay and miss them terribly!  While visiting there in December we went on a sunset cruise on Alan and Chrissy's yacht.  All the 39ers put on their big girl shoes (actually we had to take the shoes off when boarding) and braved the high seas.  It was an amazing experience and as always loads of fun and laughter.  I used Fabscraps papers and embellishments.  The anchors I printed onto cardstock and cut out.  I had way to many photos for this layout so created an extend-a-page which I inserted into a plastic sleeve and then stitched to two sleeves together to create what I call a "flappy page".  This is a great technique and allows one to use a lot more photos.  I always seem to have a problem with the number of photos in a layout!  I did some stitching on the layout and made use of the Fiskars Ribbon Border punch and then threaded a strip of cardstock through the holes.

Biker Boyz

I just love these photos of Deagan.  So serious, putting on his biker gear (note the gum boots) and then of course his cousins looking on in awe.  The paper is from Pink Paislee and the whiteboard embellishments are from Enmarc.  They really have embellishments for every occasion!  Fold-overs, appropriate ribbons, lace loops and brads just finish off the page.

Splish Splash

I remember years ago watching Terry, Jared and Ethan's dad "surfing" in their swimming pool.  Here we are some 25 years later and Terry's boys are doing the same thing.  The circle of life!  I used the Fabscraps Shabby Chic Collection of papers for this layout.  The colours reflected the colour of the water perfectly.  I then cut out various "splashes of water" from cardstock and matted them to give some substance.  Once again, I have so many photos and can't bring myself to throw any out so my page is rather full, but I think I can get away with it :)
