Playing dress up is what little girls do
Trying on hats, and putting on shoes
Giggling and laughing
Through the terrible two's
But little girls grow older with each passing year
Their first high-heels and boots will appear
And then, as if by magic, the little girl is grown
She wears the latest fashions and earrings of her own
These photos were taken at a New Year's party and the girls were having the greatest fun. Lots of preparation getting ready for the party, with the make up and the clothes. Arriving and enjoying every minute with lots of laughter, giggling, pouting and dancing. Looking at them made me realise how quickly they grow up, but actually remain children at heart! The Fabscraps collection of papers and scrapping goodies that I used was perfect for this layout. Hats, handbags, boots and then flowers galore. I chalked the letters and chipboard die cut using burgundy chalk and then darkened it with a bit of black chalk to get the perfect colour. Onto this I put some glass glaze and while it was still wet I sprinkled a bit of iridescent glitter to add a bit of bling.
Hi Cathy,
ReplyDeleteJust looked through your blog - it is lovely. I can see that all the scrapbooking must keep you very busy. Have you still got your shop? I have a bog for my class and have this cute border. It goes over the pink areas on your blog. Go to my blog: http://room12sfx.blogspot.com/ and click on the words "the cutest blog on the block' at the very top left of my page and then you can see what they have and add one for yours if you like it. They might have a scrapbooking one! keep up the great work. love Wilma B
Thanks Wilma!
